The Burks Builds CNC Router is designed to be a reliable, easy to build mill capable of cutting wood, plastic, and aluminum in a 2-foot by 4-foot work area. It is expandable to include automatic tool changes through a linear tool change rack as well as vacuum work holding through a modular vacuum table. It has a BOM cost significantly lower than comparable commercial machines and design documentation detailed enough to guide anyone through troubleshooting or modifying the design.
The design and build journey is documented in this series of blog posts.
Build documentation and support is provided in this knowledge base.
All design, analysis, parameter, drawing, schematic, and other critical files are released through this repository.
